MASTER OF COMMERCE COURSE IS CURRENTLY OFFERED THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY OF KWAZULU-NATAL
The Master of Commerce qualification is completed by course work and research. Candidates working towards the M Com must successfully complete the following modules:
1) International Business Transactions in Shipping (MSLE8IB) (16 credit points), AND
2) Analysis of Sea Freight Markets (MSLE8FM) (16 credit points), AND
3) A Maritime Dissertation (MSLE8DM) (96 credit points) AND
4) Four optional 16 credit point MSLE8 modules.
Applicants should, as a minimum requirement, either have a recognised undergraduate degree in commerce, law, engineering or science, or its recognised equivalent, or have received an equivalent certificate of competence from a recognised maritime agency. Candidates should generally have achieved a 60 % average in the relevant qualification, however this is subject to the discretion of the Directorate.
